How to operate the Boxford Cutter

1.OPEN FILE.
First you need to open up the design into boxford and convert the file to G&M format to be able to cut it.

2.START SETUP.
Then you need to open the new G&M file and click on the picture of the cutter in the bottom right hand corner to open up setup.

3.ON SCREEN INSTRUCTIONS.
Next you need to just follow the oncscreen instructions.

4.WORKPEICE
When the machine needs a workpeice you may need to fit a sacraficial bed first to prevent the machine being damaged. This bed needs to be clamped down to the machine with the clamps but it can not be bigger than A3.
Then the workpeice can be attached. To attach it needs double sided stickytape on the back to fix into place. This needs to be flat and with no dust on the bed or tape. This needs to be then pushed down firmly on the bed.

5.TABLE HEIGHT
The computer then might need to know the height of the bed so you will need to use the Digital Vanier Caliper to measure the height of the bed accuratley.

6.HOME
Once this is done you can close the gaurd and press the green button on the machine to set the drill peice to home position.

7.DRILL PEICE

Now we need to fit the correct drill peice which is the 3.2mm tool using the Jig and set the cutter distance to be the right height above the workpeice. Then you need to tighten it into position with the spanners.

8.GO
Then you need to lock the gaurd and press the green button again. The drill bit should now move 30mm over the corner of the workpeice. If this ok then press the green button again to let it go.
